Deduction Factors:
All horseracing displayed on BETDAQ is subject to a unique Rule 4 reduction, which is based on Tattersall's Rule 4. This rule is in place to ensure the smooth running of the horseracing exchange and to provide a fair marketplace for all members. All runners will have a non-runner deduction factor allotted to them from the opening of the market, determined by BETDAQ.
The factor for each runner will be published on the website at the time that the market goes live. This may subsequently change if there is significant movement in a market. If so all bets struck after the amendment will be subject to the new Rule 4 deduction factor. The sum of the deduction factors on all runners at the opening of the market will equal 100%.
As soon as BETDAQ becomes aware of a non-runner in a race, that horse will be removed from display. All orders placed on the non-runner will be voided. When BETDAQ removes a non-runner from a market, the odds on all orders, matched and unmatched, placed on the remaining runners will be reduced by the factor allotted to the withdrawn runner.
The potential winnings of the person betting for a horse to win, and the stake of the person betting for a horse not to win, will be deducted in accordance with the rule. Unmatched bets on the remaining runners will not be cancelled.
Please note:
That it is the customers responsibility to ensure the market they are placing their bets in has the correct number of selections and that if any selection(s) are withdrawn from the market after your bet has been placed, then a deduction factor will apply to all bets placed prior to the withdrawal of the selection(s) being made to the market.
