Abandoned / Postponed Races or Meetings
Bets will be void if:
• The race is abandoned.
• The race is declared void.
• Any of the race conditions or entries change.
If the overnight declarations do not stand, all bets are void.
Re-scheduled Races or Meetings
If a race or meeting is re-scheduled to later in the day and overnight declarations stand (meaning that the race is not reopened) then all bets stand, unless a refund is requested prior to the off of the re-scheduled race. If at the discretion of the Racecourse Stewards, a race is restarted (from any point of the Stewards' choosing), then all bets on the race stand provided an official result is declared. Any bet struck on a horse that does not take part in a restarted race will be deemed a loser. If a Board or Early Price has been taken on a re-scheduled race, bets will revert to SP. Horses which came under Starter’s orders in the original race but do not take part in the re-scheduled race will be treated as non-runners and returns on the remaining runners will be subject to Tattersalls’ Rule 4(c).

A prediction on the total winning margins (distance between first and second placed horses) of each race at a particular meeting.
e.g. Newmarket aggregate winning distances is the sum of the distances between the first and second horses in all races from Newmarket on that day.
Six races won by 3 lengths, 1 length, ½ length, 6 lengths, 2 lengths and 1 length would equal a total of 13½ lengths.
This market will be displayed in three bands.
e.g. Newmarket Aggregate winning distances:
Under x lengths 13/8
Between x and y lengths 6/4
Over y lengths 15/8
For races won by less than a length, the following is awarded:
Dead Heat = 0 lengths
Nose = 0.05 lengths
Short head = 0.1 lengths
Head= 0.2 lengths
Neck= 0.3 lengths
½ length = 0.5 lengths
¾ length = 0.75 lengths
The maximum winning distance for a National Hunt race is 30 lengths (including National Hunt Flat races).
The maximum winning distance for a flat race is 12 lengths. In the event that only 1 horse finishes the course, the maximum distance for the race type is awarded. In the event of a walkover, the distance will be 5 lengths for a flat race and 12 lengths for a National Hunt race (including National Hunt Flat races).
If a meeting has one or two races abandoned or declared void, then bets will be settled with a default distance used for each abandoned or void race: 2 lengths for a flat race and 6 lengths for a National Hunt race (including National Hunt Flat races).
If a meeting has three or more races abandoned or declared void, then all bets will be void unless the winning over bands for the market has already been established, in which case all bets will stand.
Any runner subsequently disqualified for taking the wrong course or carrying an incorrect weight will be ignored when the winning distance is calculated. The winning distance in such a race will be settled on the officially declared distance between the first two horses past the post that have followed the correct course and carried the correct weight. This only includes races on the regular card, it does not include charity races or any other race not run under the Rules of Racing.
Amendments after the official result
Where a result is amended after the official result (i.e. the weigh-in), for example as a result of a successful appeal, the amendment will be ignored for settlement purposes.
The race will revert to standard place terms if the field size is reduced to or below the selected number of runners (varies race-to-race).
Available on all UK & Irish race meetings. This market offers slightly shorter odds on the outright market race selections, on the basis that bets will be refunded on horses that are officially deemed 'fallers'. If your horse falls, or your jockey is 'unseated' or brought down, you will receive a refund.
Terms:
Pulling Up - If the horse pulls up with jockey still seated then you will not get your money back
Other Non-Finishing Reasons - If the horse fails to finish for any reason other than falling
unseating or being brought down then you will not qualify for the refund.
Stewards Decision - This is final and binding for settlement
Refund Bets will be made void on those runners deemed as 'fallers'.
Standard Non-Runner, Rule 4 and Dead Heat rules will apply to all Faller Insurance markets. Where a Rule 4 applies, it will be based on the withdrawn selection's price in the Outright winner market (not the Faller Insurance market price).
Best Odds Guaranteed and Best Odds Guaranteed Plus do not apply.
The ‘Favourites Index’ market relates to the aggregate performance of favourites over the course of a race meeting. The scoring system is as follows:
Win = 25 points
2nd = 10 points
3rd= 5 point
There are no points for a fourth place finish, regardless of whether four places are returned for each way purposes.
In the case of joint or co favourites, the favourite will be deemed to be the one with the lowest racecard number. In the event of no Starting Price being returned, the favourite will be the runner with the lowest price as published in the Racing Post.
If there is a dead heat for any placing, the points for these runners will be added together and divided equally between the number of positions. All bets will be settled on the official result, after the weighed-in signal.
If the meeting has 3 or more races abandoned or declared void, then all bets will be void unless a winning market has already been established, in which case all bets stand. When only 1 or 2 races are abandoned or declared void, bets will be settled with a default figure of 10 points applied to each abandoned or void race. In the event of a walkover, bets will be settled with a default figure of 10 points applied to that race.
If the favourite is withdrawn at the start of the race and no new market is formed, points will be awarded dependent on the price of the favourite at the time of withdrawal:
Evens or less = 15 points
11/10 to 9/2 = 10 points
5/1 or bigger = 5 points
If the favourite starts but does not finish the course, no points are awarded.

Horse Race Special Handicap Betting
We will offer a special distance handicap market in certain races. The idea of the handicap market is that each horse improves their finishing result in the actual race by the distance they have been allotted on the handicap. The result of the handicap market is the finishing result once all of the individual horse handicaps have been added to the final result of the race.
If a horse comes under starters orders but fails to finish the race for any reason, they will be a losing bet in this market. If a horse is declared a NR prior to the race, Rule 4 may apply to this market and the horse will simply be removed from calculations when working out the final result, with the other horses’ distance handicaps remaining unaffected. Dead heat rules apply. Result will be settled on the ‘First Past The Post’ result and subsequent amendments will not affect the result of this market*. (*If a horse has carried the wrong weight or taken the wrong course, it will be deemed a loser in this market and ignored in the settlement of the result).
Example
We offered the following handicap on the Middle Park Stakes 2018.
Horse Distance Handicap
Ten Sovereigns Scratch (0 lengths)
Jash +1.5 lengths
Emaraaty Ana +2.5 lengths
Rumble In The Jungle +2.5 lengths
Legends Of War +3.5 lengths
Rumble In The Jungle +4 lengths
Marie’s Diamond +6 lengths
Space Traveller +6 lengths
The final result of the actual race was as follows
Pos Horse Distance To Winner
1 Ten Sovereigns 0
2 Jash 0.5 lengths
3 Rumble In The Jungle 4 lengths
4 Marie’s Diamond 4.5 lengths
5 Emaraaty Ana 5.25 lengths
6 Legends Of War 6.75 lengths
7 Sergei Prokofiev 7.25 lengths
8 Space Traveller 7.5 lengths
To calculate the final handicap score we simply subtract each horse’s ‘Distance Handicap’ from their ‘Distance To Winner’ result. For example: Jash finished 0.5 lengths behind the winner and had a handicap of +1.5 lengths, so his final handicap score would be 0.5 – 1.5 = -1 length.
The winner of the handicap market is the horse with the lowest handicap score and in this example, Marie’s Diamond was the winner of the market. (Note - dead heat rules apply on this market and there was a dead heat for 3 rd place in this example).
Pos Horse Final Handicap Score
1 Marie’s Diamond -1.5 lengths
2 Jash -1 length
3DH Ten Sovereigns 0 lengths
3DH Rumble In The Jungle 0 lengths
5 Space Traveller +1.5 lengths
6 Emaraaty Ana +2.75 lengths
7 Legends Of War +3.25 lengths
8 Sergei Prokofiev +4.75 lengths
First Past the Post (FPP) Rules
All bets placed on UK and Irish horse racing will be settled on First Past the Post AND the official result.
First Past the Post: The immediate result after the race has been completed (see Exceptions below)
Official Result: Announced at the "weigh-in" on the day, after any Steward's Enquiries and/or
objections have been considered. If a winner is disqualified after the official result is announced the disqualification will not affect the settlement of bets
Exceptions
The exceptions where First Past the Post does not apply and bets are only settled according to the official result are:
A selection taking the wrong course
A selection carrying the wrong weight or the jockey failing to weigh-in
Any Ante Post bet
A Forecast or Tricast bet
A void race
Any Tote/Pari-Mutuel bet
A selection given as the winner in error by the judge
A bet placed on a two-runner race or a special match bet
A bet placed in a “without the favourite” or any other special market
Aintree Grand National
Any bet placed at the rails on a racecourse
We pay FPP on UK & Irish racing ONLY - Horse racing bets placed on non-UK/Irish meetings are settled on the official result declared by the racecourse judge and confirmed by the ‘Weighed-In’ announcement. If a winner is disqualified after the official result is announced, the disqualification will not affect the settlement of bets.
Things to Consider
I. the event of a double result, payout on the horse that was first past the post may be subject to a small delay while we process your winnings. The funds will be credited to your account as a manual adjustment.
Match Bets
A Match bet is based on one selection beating another according to the specific conditions advertised. Dead heat rules apply unless a tie price is made available (e.g. for a handicap match bet).
One of the two selections in any match bet must complete the course for the bets to stand; otherwise bets are void.
Both selections must start for bets to stand, otherwise Match Bets are void.
Singles and upwards.
Winning Distance
At least one horse must finish for winning distance bets to stand.
Singles and upwards.
Top Jockey/Trainer/Owner
Where there is a tie, governing body rules will be used to separate the selections. For example in Top Jockey, if two selections have equal number of wins, the selection with the highest number of second place finishes will be the winner, or where tied again, the number of third place finishes will be used to declare the winner.
Jockey and Trainer Specials
If one of the runners does not take part, then all bets on that special will be void.
Singles and upwards, unless there are separate jockey and trainer specials for the same race.
Points betting
We sometimes use a 'points system' for certain bets. In these cases, five points are awarded for a win, three for a second place and one for a third place.
Betdaq accept bets on horse racing from around the world. Bet acceptance rules differ from country to country. Our website will display which rules apply for any given event. In general the following rules will apply to bets placed on international horse racing:

Bets are accepted on jockey specials markets on the understanding that a winning outcome is possible in the given market at the time the bet was confirmed. If a subsequent factor, event or change of circumstances means that a winning outcome is no longer possible, bets placed on jockey specials markets will have lost.
The given rider must take part in at least one race at the meeting, otherwise all bets are void.
Walkovers will not count towards the jockey's winners total.
Our Early Prices (that is prices offered after the overnight declarations are made) are available daily on selected races up to the first live Betdaq traded or racecourse Show.
Bets are accepted on horse races where 2 or more horses start; if no selections finish a race, all bets will be void. In "Betting Without" markets, if the only finisher is the "Without" selection, bets on the other selections will be void.
The Starting Price (SP) is determined from the final prices available in the on-course market at the start of the race. It is used to settle all bets where a price has not been taken at the time of acceptance. If no on-course SP is returned, bets will be settled at the Industry (off-course) SP. In the event of neither an on-course SP, nor an Industry SP being returned, selections where a price has not been taken, will be settled at the Tote dividend where available. Bets on ‘Unnamed Favourites’ will be declared void.
Insurance - 2 Place / 3 Place / 4 Place
All runners offered at shorter odds than the outright winner market, with the 'Insurance' that you will get your money back if your selection doesn't win but finishes within the number of places stipulated. So if your selection wins, you'll be paid out at the price struck; if your selection finishes in the stipulated places, your bet will be voided and your stake returned to you; and if your selection finishes anywhere else, then your bet will be a loser.

Insurance - 2 Place: 5 runners
Insurance - 3 Place: 8 runners
Insurance - 4 Place: 16 runners
In the event of non-runners the number of Insured Places stand, except in cases where the field is reduced to the point it equals the number of places paid, then all bets on Insurance markets will be void.
Standard Non-Runner, Rule 4 and Dead-heat rules will apply to all Place Insurance markets. Where a Rule 4 applies, it will be based on the withdrawn selection's price in the Outright winner market (not the Place Insurance market price).
Our Channel 4 and Feature race offers do not apply.
Best Odds Guaranteed and Best Odds Guaranteed Plus do not apply.
This market is sometimes referred to as "Top 2/3/4 Finish”.

Where Place Only betting is specifically advertised bets will be settled as follows:
The number of places paid will be in accordance with our normal each way place terms for horse racing.
All stakes on any non-runners will be refunded, however the number of places paid will not alter as a result of any non-runners. Bets on the remaining horses in the race will be subject to a deduction in accordance with the following table:

If reserves are contained within the final declaration stage for a race, Early Prices for all the declared runners will be available, including the reserves.
If a declared runner is announced as a non-runner, the market will be revised. All bets struck prior to this announcement may be subject to a Rule 4 deduction. The Rule 4 deduction will be applied to all bets struck prior to the non-runner being announced, even if the non-runner was one of the reserves.
We accept bets on specified races staged under Jockey Club and National Hunt Rules in Great Britain and equivalent organisations abroad.
You can take the current Show Price on your bet, provided there are 3 or more runners. If a horse is withdrawn from a race, no further Show Prices will be available until a new market has been formed. Show Prices are relayed directly from the racecourse and displayed on our screens as part of our internet service.

Forecast bets are not accepted on 2 runner races. If a Forecast bet is accepted in error or if a race is reduced to 2 runners then bets will revert to a Single on the first named selection at SP.
All bets on races declared a walkover or declared 'void' will be void, win or lose.
(ie: a selection to win a specified race by a specified over or under number of lengths).
All bets will be losers unless the selection wins the race. However, if the selection is a non-runner, all bets will be void, unless it was an Ante Post bet on an ‘all in run or not’ basis.
If there are other non-runners in the race, a Rule 4 deduction may be applied to the prices for both winning over and under the specified number of lengths.
All bets will be settled on a ‘first past the post’ basis. However, if one of the first two horses home has taken the wrong course or is carrying the incorrect weight, the winner will be deemed to be the ‘first horse past the post’ who has taken the correct course. The winning distance will be taken from the first horse to legitimately complete the course back to the second horse to legitimately complete the course.
If the selection dead heats with another runner, bets on the selections to win under the specified distance will be settled as winners at half the initial stake.
Predict both the winning horse and the winning distance from the runners and distances listed (distances offered may change depending on the race).
In the event of any non-runners, a Rule 4 deduction may apply based on the price of the non-runner at the time of bet placement.
Singles only, dead heat rules apply.
If a horse comes under Starter's Orders but refuses to race, the bet will be a loser.
In all horse races where a runner is withdrawn, or adjudged not to have started - and therefore been declared a Non-Runner by the starter - stakes on that selection will be refunded. (The exception to this being Ante Post bets).
Bets on the remaining runners in that race, taken at Early Prices or at Show Prices prior to withdrawal, will be subject to a deduction. This is based on Tattersalls Rule 4(c) (see below).
Bets on horses in subsequent markets that then have one or more withdrawn horses will have a deduction calculated on the prices applicable to that market at the time of Withdrawal.
In the event that there is insufficient time to form a new market on the race, S.P. bets may also be subject to a deduction based on Tattersalls Rule 4(c).
For bets at Early Prices, the application of Rule 4(c) will be determined by the last Betdaq price available at the time the horse is withdrawn.
What are Rule 4 deductions?
Rule 4 deductions are made to the money or winnings you receive back when the horse you have backed wins or is placed. These deductions are only made when one or more horses are withdrawn from the race after you have placed your bet.
Rule 4 deductions are normally made in cases where you have taken a price on your horse. Rule 4 deductions can be made from the Starting Price of a horse when a horse is withdrawn just before the race and there is no time to create a new a market.
Why are Rule 4 deductions made?
Rule 4 deductions are made when a horse is withdrawn from a race because it becomes easier for the other runners to win - each horse in the race will have one less to beat so it is more likely that it will win.
Therefore an amount of money is taken out of winnings to balance the effect of the withdrawn runner.
If bookmakers did not make Rule 4 deductions from winnings then in some cases customers would be able to back all the horses in one race and make money whichever horse won!
For example, suppose there are three horses in a race. Horse A is 1/3 favourite, horse B is 3/1 and horse C is 12/1. Now suppose horse A is withdrawn and there are no deductions made to the prices of horse B and C. In this case if you placed £1 on horse B and £1 and horse C you would win more than the £2 staked whichever horse won. If horse B won you would win £4 and if horse C won you would win £13.
Therefore Rule 4 deductions are made to take into account the additional advantage a customer has when a horse is withdrawn from a race.
How much are Rule 4 deductions?
Price at Withdrawal
1/9 or shorter 1.11 or shorter 90p
2/11 to 2/17 1.18 to 1.12 85p
1/4 to 1/5 1.25 to 1.20 80p

6/1 to 9/1 7.00 to 10.00 10p
10/1 to 14/1 11.00 to 15.00 5p
Over 14/1 Over 15.00 No deduction
The amount taken from your winnings depends on how likely the horse or horses that were withdrawn from the race were to win. For example, if the favourite in a race is withdrawn it will make it much easier for the second favourite to win. However, if an outsider is taken from the race then it will be still difficult for the second favourite to win as it still needs to beat the favourite.
The exact amount taken out of your winnings is based on the price of the withdrawn selection, in that market. This is because the price equates to its chances of winning. Therefore the shorter its price, the bigger its chance of winning and the larger the Rule 4 deduction is.
This table shows the amount of the deductions based on the price of individual selections. These deductions are the amount of money that is taken from each £1 in winnings. Hence if you win £10 and there is a 10p Rule 4 deduction you will only receive £9 winnings.
What happens if more than one horse is withdrawn from a race?
More than one Rule 4 deduction can apply if more than one horse is withdrawn from a race.
For example, if a horse at 5/4 is withdrawn at 9:30 and a horse at 6/1 is withdrawn at 11:00, then a 40p and 10p deduction (50p in total) will apply to bets placed before 9:30. However if a new market is formed after 9:30 once the 5/4 horse had been withdrawn then only a 10p deduction will apply to bets placed between 9:30 and 11:00. This is because the prices for the market formed after 9:30 will not include the horse that has been withdrawn at 9:30.
Why are they called Rule 4 deductions?
Rule 4 deductions were originally part of Tattersall’s Rules of Racing. Tattersall’s are one of the organisations which historically helped to organise and codify horse racing in Britain and Ireland. Nowadays Tattersall’s are responsible for auctioning race horses. It is called a ‘Rule 4’ simply because the rule relating to withdrawals and deductions was the fourth in a list of rules which were originally devised to govern racing.

In this section we detail the general rules covering both horse racing and greyhound racing when you bet with us, as well as highlighting a number of specific items relating to both areas.
Best Odds Guaranteed
Best Odds Guaranteed is available where indicated on all UK and Irish horseraces. For the avoidance of doubt, it is not available on any UK and Irish horserace where it is not indicated nor is it available when BOG selections are included in a multiple bet. So, when you take the price on any indicated market, including early prices and board prices, if the SP returns greater we'll pay you out at the bigger price. For example, if you take a price of 3/1 and the selection wins with a Starting Price of 4/1, we pay you 4/1. If you take a price of 3/1 and the selection wins with a Starting Price of 2/1, we pay you 3/1.
Betdaq reserves the right to withdraw this guarantee at any time and to apply exemptions to selected customers.
Bets placed on the day of the race qualify. Some bets placed before the day of the event may also qualify where the markets are no longer Ante-Post. Bets placed under markets within "Future Horse Racing" do not qualify, but where the named ante-post event changes to the 'day of event' market (sometimes the evening before the event) bets will qualify. E.g. bets on the "2000 Guineas" under "Future Horse Racing" do not count, but once the market changes to "15:45 Newmarket", BOG applies.
The offer does not include Ante-Post, Tote/Pools, Place Only (Top 2/3/4 Finish), Match Bets, Betting Without, Place Insurance or Faller Insurance markets.
Horses: Bets placed after the off do not qualify for this offer. Bets placed in-running will not apply.
Greyhounds: In the event of a vacant trap, bets will revert to SP.
Any bets placed from Paysafe, Skrill (MoneyBookers) and Neteller deposits will not qualify for this offer.
Win single bets are available on all horse and greyhound races as well as for other selected sporting events. For horse and greyhound bets, you can choose to take a Betdaq Early Price (if available), a Show Price or the Starting Price (S.P.).
Each-Way bets (Win and Place) are offered for the majority of sporting events. However for all horse and greyhound races (at Early Price, Show Price and S.P.) the each-way terms available are affected by the number of runners taking part and these terms are as follows:
i. Nursery and Rated Stakes Handicap races of 16 or more runners - 1/4 odds first 4 places.
ii. Nursery and Rated Stakes Handicap races of 12 to 15 runners - 1/4 odds first 3 places.
iii. All other races of 8 or more runners - 1/5 odds first 3 places.
iv. All races of 5, 6 and 7 runners - 1/4 odds first 2 places.
v. Races with less than 5 runners - Place money goes on to win.
In other cases, including Horse Racing Ante-Post, Greyhound, Football and Sports betting events, each-way terms will be available as detailed on this site at the time.
The 'Win' and 'Place' part of Each-Way Multiple bets are settled separately (that is, win-to-win and place-to-place).
A "straight forecast" is a bet where you name two selections to come 1st and 2nd in the correct order for a specified event.
A "reversed forecast" is when you name two selections to finish 1st and 2nd in any order for a specific event.
A "combination forecast" is when you choose three or more selections in an event, with any of these to finish 1st and 2nd in the race.
Straight, reversed and combination forecasts are available on both horseracing and greyhound racing provided 3 or more entries run in any one race.
Forecast bets are settled in accordance with the industry Forecast Dividend, except where stated below:
• If a Straight Forecast is accepted for a race where no dividend is declared, the bet will be settled as a win single on the first selection stated
• If you select a Non-Runner in a Forecast bet, the bet will be settled as a single at SP on the remaining selection. If you select a Non-Runner in a Combination Forecast, all bets featuring the non-runner will be settled as singles.
You can bet forecast singles and forecast doubles on Betdaq and these can be placed as either straight, reversed, or combination forecast bets.
In races where only 1 horse finishes, forecast bets with the correct 1st place horse will be paid as an SP single on that selection. All other forecast bets will be losers.
Customers are not allowed to include 'unnamed favourite' in forecast bets.
A tricast is a bet where you name the selections to finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the correct order for a specified race. All tricast bets are settled in accordance with the appropriate industry dividend except where stated below.
Horse Tricast bets are accepted on all Handicap, Nursery and Rated Stakes Handicap races where eight or more runners are declared and six or more actually run. Tricasts are also available on other advertised races outside of our Full Service.
If a tricast bet is accepted where less than 6 runners take part in the race, it will be settled as a Straight Forecast on the selections nominated to finish 1st and 2nd, with the selection nominated to finish 3rd ignored.
If a Tricast has been accepted for a race where no dividend is declared, it will be settled as a Straight Forecast on the selections nominated to finish 1st and 2nd. The 3rd is ignored for settlement purposes. If the bet is a Combination Tricast, every Tricast within that Combination will be settled as a Straight Forecast with the 3rd selection ignored for settlement purposes.
If one non-runner is selected, the tricast will be settled as a Straight Forecast on the remaining 2 selections.
If two non-runners are selected in a tricast, the bet will be settled as a single at SP on the remaining selection.
In races where fewer than 3 horses finish, tricast bets will be settled as follows:
• When only 2 horses finish, tricast bets with the 1st and 2nd in the correct order will be paid as forecast winners. All other tricast bets will be losers.
• When only 1 horse finishes, tricast bets with the correct 1st place horse will be paid as an SP single on that selection. All other tricast bets will be losers.
Customers are not allowed to include 'unnamed favourite' in tricast bets.
How does a non-runner affect my bet?
If your selection becomes a non-runner:
Single Bet
If you have a non-runner, your bet is void and you receive your stake back. Please note, this does not apply if your bet was placed under Ante Post rules, in which case your bet will be settled as a loser.
Multiple Bets
If you've placed a multiple bet such as a double, treble or Lucky 15, your bet will stand on the remaining selections. So a double becomes a single, a treble becomes a double, and so on.
Forecast
If you have a non-runner in a forecast bet, your bet is settled as a single at SP on the remaining selection.
Example: £1 Forecast A - B, where B is a non-runner, bet will be a £1 win single on A.
Example 2: A combination forecast (6 bets, total stake £6) A - B - C, where C is a non-runner, will be settled as:
• A- C = Single on A
• A- B = Stands
• B- A = Stands
• B- C = Single on B
• C- A = Single on A
• C- B = Single on B
Tricast
If you have a non-runner in a tricast bet, your bet is settled as a forecast on the remaining selections in the order they were selected.
For example: £1 Tricast A - B - C, where B is a non-runner, will be settled as a £1 forecast A - C.
Combination bets follow the same rules, with each combination settled separately.
Example 2: £1 Combination Tricast A - B - C, where C is a non-runner, will be settled as:
• A - B - C = Stands as A- B
• A - C - B = Stands as A - B
• B - A - C = Stands as B - A
• B - C - A = Stands as B - A
• C - A - B = Stands as A - B
• C - B - A = Stands as B - A
If you have 2 non-runners in a tricast bet, your bet is settled as a single at SP on the remaining selection.
If another selection in an event you have bet on becomes a non-runner:
If a selection other than your own becomes a non-runner, then prices for the remaining selections may need to be reduced to reflect their chances of winning an event.
Match Bets and Triple Headers
Match Bets will be void if one or more of the selections in the bet are withdrawn. Match Bets and Triple Headers will be void if all the runners in the bet fail to complete. In the case of a dead heat between two or more selections included in a Match Bet or Triple Header, the stake will be divided by the number dead heating. One part of the stake will be applied to the selection at full odds and the remaining part(s) of the stake will be a loser. First past the post rules apply in the case of any amended results (see results section on page 3).
In the event of a non-runner, a rule 4 deduction will apply to the “Betting Without” market, with the deduction based on the price of the withdrawn runner in the “Betting Without” market at the time of withdrawal.
“Betting Without” bets are settled ignoring the finishing position of the nominated “Without” runner. Where the nominated “Without” selection is withdrawn before the start of a race, all bets on any of the field in this market stand.
If 2 or fewer runners start the race, then bets will be void.
Bets nominating the Favourite are accepted where available on certain horse or greyhound races at Starting Price only.
The Favourite is the selection returned at the shortest odds. If two runners are returned at the shortest price, they will be treated as Joint 1st and Joint 2nd favourites and stakes for bets on either first or second favourites will be divided equally when the bet is settled. The next shortest priced runner will then be the 3rd favourite. Where three or more selections start as co-favourites, the stake will be divided proportionally. Stakes on Unnamed Favourites will be divided equally if joint or co-favourites are returned. This also applies for bets on the Unnamed 2nd Favourite.
For example, if you place £10 on the ‘Unnamed Favourite’ and there are two favourites, you will get a £5 bet on each of them.
Bets on the Unnamed Favourite are win only. If an Each-Way bet is accepted in error the whole stake will be invested to win.
If the favourite is withdrawn and no new market is formed, bets placed on the Unnamed Favourite will be void; the same applies for the Unnamed 2nd Favourite, where the 2nd Favourite is withdrawn and no new market is formed, bets placed on the Unnamed 2nd Favourite will be void.
Starting Price (SP)
The Starting Price (SP) is determined from the final prices available in the on-course market at the start of the race. It is used to settle all bets where a price has not been taken at the time of acceptance. If no on-course SP is returned, bets will be settled at the Industry (off-course) SP. In the event of neither an on-course SP, nor an Industry SP being returned, selections where a price has not been taken, will be settled at the Tote dividend where available. Bets on ‘Unnamed Favourites’ will be declared void.

All bets are settled according to the declared official result. No subsequent change to the result will affect the settlement of the race in question. All bets on Trotting are accepted at stated prices only. This is true of win only bets, place only bets and any other betting market. Multiple bets will be settled as standard accumulators.
Win Only Bets
Win only bets are available on all trotting races displayed on Betdaq. You can also include a horse in a Trotting race in an accumulator with selections from either other Trotting races or other events on Betdaq.
Please note that Each Way bets on Trotting races are not available.
Place Only Bets
Place only bets are offered for the majority of Trotting races. However, the number of places available are affected by the number of runners taking part in the race and these terms are as follows:
All races of 8 or more runners - 3 places
All races of 4, 5, 6 and 7 runners - 2 places
Races with less than 4 runners - Place betting will not be offered for races of less than 4 runners. If a race originally has 4 or more runners but there are enough non-runners to reduce the field to less than 4, all bets previously accepted as place only bets will be void and stakes returned.
Match Bets
Select which of two or three named runners will finish first in a race. Dead heat rules apply unless a tie price is made available (e.g. for a handicap match bet).
If one runner does not take part in a match bet then all bets on that match are void.
If all participating horses in a Match bet fail to complete the race, all bets are void.
Daily Double
As well as being able to place multiple bets by combining selections from different races, it is also possible to bet on Daily Doubles when this event is offered. The Daily Double involves two specifically nominated races each day. Returns for the Daily Double will be based not on the multiplied returns of the two winners but will instead be based on the official returns for the Daily Double.
Dead Heats
"Dead heat" is a term that describes when two or more participants in an event tie. If a "dead-heat" is declared on any event, half the stake is applied to the selection at full odds and the other half is lost. If more than two "dead-heat", the stake is proportioned accordingly.
• Win
o If two or more horses dead heat for first place, then each horse in the dead heat is a winner.
• Place
o If two horses dead heat for first place, they fill the first two places. If three horses dead heat for first place, they fill the first three places, and so on.
o If two horses dead heat for second place, they fill the second and third places. If three horses dead heat for second place, they fill the second, third and fourth places.
• Daily Double
• If there is a dead heat for first place in either or both of the Daily Double races, then all horses involved in the dead heat are considered to be winners of their race.
Non Runners
If a horse is withdrawn before coming under ‘Starters Orders’ then bets will be settled using the Tattersall's Rule 4 deduction scale. The Tattersall's Rule 4 deduction scale adjusts prices to reflect the absence from the book of any non-runner. The following deductions are made per pound won and relate to the price of the withdrawn horse at the time a customer places their bet. If two or more horses are withdrawn before coming under Starter's Orders, then the total deduction will be the sum of the individual deductions, up to a maximum of 90p per pound won.
All bets on a horse declared a non runner are void and stakes will be refunded. Any bets on the Daily Double are void if either horse included in the bet is a non runner.
Tattersalls Rule 4(c)

Cancelled or Postponed Races
If a race is cancelled, all bets on that race will be void. If a race is postponed but takes place on the original day, all bets on that race will stand.
If either one or both of the races in the Daily Double is cancelled, all bets on the Daily Double will be void.

Abandoned Matches
If a match is abandoned after it has commenced, all bets on that match will be made void unless it is played to a completion within 36 hours, except where settlement has already been determined. For example, where the first goal has been scored by a named player the First Goalscorer and Time of First Goal markets, amongst others, will stand. This rule will apply even if the governing body declare that the result of the shortened match will stand for competition purposes.
Acceptance of Bets
All football bets will be settled on 90 minutes play (also referred to as Full-time and normal time), unless otherwise stated. This denotes the period of play which includes time added by the Referee for injuries and other stoppages. This does not include scheduled extra time, or Penalty shoot-outs, if played.
If a match takes place but is not completed as advertised (e.g. is not a 90 minute match, or is split into 3 periods rather than 2 halves) then all bets on the match will be void.
In matches where penalty shoot outs or extra time are due to take place, all bets are settled on 90 minutes unless an Outright price is specifically requested and confirmed at the time the bet is placed.
For matches played at neutral venues, the team listed on the left are still classed as the 'home' team for settlement purposes.
A club team playing a European competition is classed as playing at home if the fixture is moved from the team's usual ground to another ground within their national boundaries, e.g. when Arsenal played their Champions League home ties at Wembley.
If a match is no longer played at the venue advertised, bets will stand unless the fixture has been switched to the opponent's ground. Should this occur, all bets will be void.
Where Betdaq have not quoted prices on a match, any single bet on that match will be void and treated as a non-runner in multiple bets.
If any team starts a 90 minute competitive game with less than 11 players, all bets on that match will be made void.
Anycast (Player to Score at Anytime and Correct Score)
To win you must successfully forecast a player to score a goal at anytime in a selected match and also the correct score after 90 minutes play.
Anycasts are only available on selected matches.
The result 0-0 and no goalscorer is settled as a correct score single.
All players taking part at any point of the match are deemed to have played for settling purposes. If the selected player is a non-runner the bet will revert to a correct score single. The selected player will only be deemed as a non-runner if at the time they join the match the selected correct score has either been achieved or is no longer achievable.
• For example, if a bet states Rooney to score anytime and Man Utd to win 2-0 and Rooney joins the match with Man Utd leading 1-0 the bet will still stand as Rooney has the opportunity to score and make the score 2-0. However, if he joined the match at 2-0 the anytime scorer part of the bet would be void and the bet would revert to the correct score only.
For Player to Score at Anytime settlement purposes, own goals do not count, so in this circumstance, the Anycast will be settled on the next goalscorer and Correct Score of the game. If the correct score is 1-0 and the goal is an own goal, Scorecast bets are settled as a correct score single.
If a match is abandoned prior to the completion of 90 minutes and goals have been scored, Anycast bets that include players that have scored are settled as winning Player to Score at Anytime singles. All other bets are void.
Anytime Correct Score
This market offers betting on the chosen selection being the score at any time within 90 minutes of the match. Where a match finishes 0-0 after 90 minutes, all selections will be losers. Extra time does not count.
Asian Line Betting

Assist Markets
Assist markets in Premier League matches will be settled in line with the first results published by fantasy.premierleague.com, any subsequent amendments to their initial decision will not apply. In any other matches, Assist markets will be settled following these rules and on the first decision made, any subsequent amendments to the initial decision will not apply:
Assists - Definition (in line with http://fantasy.premierleague.com)
• Assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team, who makes the final pass before a goal is scored. An assist is awarded whether the pass was intentional (that it actually creates the chance) or unintentional (that the player had to dribble the ball or an inadvertent touch or shot created the chance).
• If an opposing player touches the ball after the final pass before a goal is scored, significantly altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is awarded.
• Rebounds
• If a shot on goal is blocked by an opposition player, is saved by a goalkeeper or hits the woodwork, and a goal is scored from the rebound, then an assist is awarded.
• Own Goals
• If a player shoots or passes the ball and forces an opposing player to put the ball in his own net, then an assist is awarded.
• Penalties and Free-Kicks
• In the event of a penalty or free-kick, the player earning the penalty or free-kick is awarded an assist if a goal is directly scored, but not if he takes it himself, in which case no assist is given.
In the event of a 0-0, or the match resulting in any scoreline that doesn't involve an assist, "No Assist" will be deemed the winner.
If a match is abandoned before an assist is awarded, all bets are void. This includes 'No Assist' bets as these are offered on the basis of 90 minutes being played in the game. If the match is abandoned after an assist is awarded, all bets will stand.
Other selections are available on request.
All bets are 90 minutes only.
Pre-Match
• First Assist:
• The winner of the First Assist will be the player who is credited with the first assist of the game, and not who assists the first goal of the game. e.g. In the event that no assist is awarded for the first goal, then the bet will roll over onto the assist for the goal after this and so on, until a goal is scored with an assist which is officially awarded.
• Stakes are refunded on any player who takes no part in the match or who comes on as substitute after the first assist has been awarded.
• Anytime Assist:
• Stakes are refunded on any player who takes no part in the match. All players taking part at any point of the match are deemed to have played for the purposes of Anytime Assist bets.
Betting In Play
• Next Assist
• Bets struck apply to the next assist awarded in the match. All bets apply to assists awarded in 90 minutes only. Extra-time does not count.
• In the event no assist is awarded for the goal after the bet has been placed, then the bet will roll over onto the assist for the goal after this and so on, until a goal is scored with an assist which is officially awarded.
• In the event of there being no more assists awarded after the bet has been struck, in 90 minutes, "No Assist" will be deemed to have been the outcom
• Where there is a dispute concerning who assisted a goal in a match, settlement will be based upon the first result declared by the official website of the governing body of the competition (For example, http://PremierLeague.com for Premier League matches, or http://UEFA.com for European World Cup Qualifiers, European Championships, Champions League and Europa League matches). Any subsequent amendments made by the official website to their initial decision will not apply.
Both Teams To Score (Goal Crazy)
A prediction on both teams to score a goal in the match.
This market is also known as "Goal Crazy".
Own goals do count for this market. E.g. If Arsenal are playing Tottenham and there is an own goal by an Arsenal player, and then Arsenal go on to score themselves to make it 1-1, the result of the Both Teams to Score market would be "Yes", as both teams have been awarded a goal.
If a match is abandoned after it has commenced, all bets on this market will be made void except where settlement has already been determined. For example, if both teams have already scored at the point the match is abandoned then "Yes" will be settled as the winner.
1st Goalscorer and Both Teams To Score
For the bet to win, the selected player must score the 1st goal in the game and both teams must score. Example: If Costa scores first in the Chelsea v Everton match, and the final score is 2-1, then "Costa and Both Teams to Score" will be the winning selection.
If the selected player does not start the match, or comes on after the first goal is scored, the bet will go onto the "Both teams to Score" market.
If a match is abandoned after it has commenced, all bets on this market will be made void except where settlement has already been determined. For example, if both teams have already scored at the point the match is abandoned then the first scoring player and "Yes" will be settled as the winner. Where a match is abandoned after the first goal has been scored and accredited to a player (an own goal does not count), but both teams have not scored, the bet will be settled on the First Player to Score market.
Match Result With Both Teams To Score
A prediction on the result at the end of normal time and both teams to score a goal in the match.

Both Teams To Score - 1st Half (1st Half Goal Crazy)
A prediction on both teams to score a goal in the 1st Half.
This market is also known as "1st Half Goal Crazy".

Both Teams To Score - 2nd Half (2nd Half Goal Crazy)
A prediction on both teams to score a goal in the 2nd Half.
This market is also known as "2nd Half Goal Crazy".
If a match is abandoned after it has commenced, all bets on this market will be made void except where settlement has already been determined. For example, if both teams have already scored at the point the match is abandoned then "Yes" will be settled as the winner.
Both Teams to Score in Both Halves
The 90 minute match is treated as two separate 45 minute 'mini-matches' and therefore both teams must score a goal in each of the two halves.
If a match is abandoned after it has commenced, all bets on this market will be made void except where settlement has already been determined. For example, if both teams have already scored in Both Halves at the point the match is abandoned then "Yes" will be settled as the winner.
Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals in the match
A prediction on both teams to score a goal and 3 goals or more scored in the match.
An example of this is "Arsenal 1 - 2 Chelsea" would be a winner but "Arsenal 1 - 1 Chelsea" and "Arsenal 0 - 3 Chelsea" would be settled as losers.
If a match is abandoned after it has commenced, all bets on this market will be made void except where settlement has already been determined. For example, if both teams have already scored with over 2.5 goals at the point the match is abandoned then "Yes" will be settled as the winner.

• Red card counts as 2
• Second yellows are ignored so a maximum of 3 cards can be awarded per player

Extra time does not include penalty shoot outs.
All extra time betting markets, such as 'Correct Score', or 'Time of First Goal', will start from the beginning of extra time and not include normal time. For example, if the game finishes 2-2 at the end of normal time and there are no goals scored in extra time, the 'extra time correct score' market will be settled as '0-0'.
1st Goalscorer - Odd/Even Goal Minute
1. The bet is made up of two separate selections. The first player to score and the time of goal as an odd or an even number.
2. Both parts of the selection need to be correct for the bet to be deemed a winner.
3. If the First Player to Score selection has taken no part in the game at the time of the first goal the bet will be void.
4. If the game finishes goalless the bet will be deemed a loser unless your selection has taken no part in the game in which case the bet will be made void.
5. Bets will be settled on the first result announced by the official source/governing body or alternatively the official website of the relevant event.
6. If the first goal is scored in injury time at the end of either half the bet will be settled on the official result that is announced. For example, if the first goal is scored in the 3rd minute of first half injury time and the official source/governing body or alternatively the official website of the relevant event announce the time of goal as the 45th minute, then for settlement purposes the goal will be deemed to have been scored in an 'Odd' minute.
1st Half Result/2nd Half Result
Customers are asked to predict the result for each separate half in one 90-minute game. For example if Lincoln play Dagenham and lead 1-0 at half time and the game then finishes 1-0 after 90 mins, the result will be settled as Lincoln winning the first half and the draw as the result in the second half.
First Match to X (Tournament)
Where "First Match to X" lists only limited selections, others will be available on request. Where no match in the tournament meets the requirement all bets will be void. Goalscorer Bets
All goalscorer bets are offered on selected major games as advertised. Bets are settled on the player to score in the match within 90 minutes.
We will make every effort to quote prices for all probable players. However, prices for unquoted players will always be available on request and those players will count as winners in the event that they score.
If the only goal scored within 90 minutes is an own goal, then 'no goalscorer' will be deemed to have been the outcome.
If a match is abandoned before a goal is scored, all bets are void. This includes 'no goalscorer' bets as these are offered on the basis of 90 minutes being played in the game. If the match is abandoned after goals have been scored, all first goalscorer bets will stand, any Player to Score at Anytime bets already determined will be paid as winners, but all other goalscorer bets will be void.
Where there is a dispute concerning who scored the goals in a match, bets are settled on the first result published by the official source/governing body or alternatively the official website of the relevant event, immediately after the match/event is finished. Any subsequent corrections or amendments to this result will not apply for settlement purposes.
If the result is not immediately available from the official source/governing body or the official website of the relevant event, or there is significant evidence that the official source/governing body or official website is incorrect, we will use independent sources such as Press Association to decide settlement.

All players that have taken some part in the game before the next goal is scored will be deemed runners. Bets on players that do not take any part in the game before the next goal is scored will be void.
If there are no further goals scored "No Goalscorer" will be the winning selection. If no price is offered for "No Goalscorer" and no further goals are scored then all bets on the market will be void.
If odds are quoted for an own goal, where the next goal is an own goal bets on named players to score the next goal will be settled as losers. If own goal is not offered the market will be settled on the next goal following the own goal.

Only the named games count for betting purposes. If five or more games are offered and two or more of the games are postponed, then all bets are void. If fewer than five games are offered and one or more of the games are postponed, then all bets are void.
How many times will the Woodwork be Hit?
For the settlement of this bet we will count every instance in which the ball hits the woodwork - i.e. the posts or crossbar - during active play. If the ball hits the woodwork after the referee has stopped play it will not count. Instances where the ball hits the woodwork twice or more in succession will count separately.
Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count for the purposes of this bet.
How will my Football bet on a Cup Tie be settled?
All football bets will be settled on 90 minutes play (also referred to as Full-time and normal time). This denotes the period of play which includes time added by the Referee for injuries and other stoppages. This does not include scheduled extra time, or Penalty shoot-outs, if played.
In Cup matches where penalty shoot outs or extra time are due to take place, all bets are settled on 90 minutes unless an Outright (i.e. 'To Qualify' or 'Cup Winner') price is specifically requested and confirmed at the time the bet is placed.
How will the First Goal be Scored?
In the 'How will the First Goal be Scored' markets, customers are betting on whether the first goal in a game will be scored - left leg, right leg, head or any other part of the body.
If the goal is credited to a player but deflects off another player before going in to the goal, that deflection is not taken in to account. For example, if a player hits the ball with his left foot but the ball deflects off a defender's knee in to the goal, 'left foot' remains the winning selection.
Own goals do not count for this market - if the goal is deemed to be an own goal all bets will be settled on the next goal.
Injury Time
Unless the market states otherwise, betting on injury time relates to the second half injury time only.
Last Team to Score
Bets are settled on the team to score the last goal in a match. Own Goals DO count for this market - e.g. Chelsea are playing Spurs and the last goal is an own goal by a Chelsea player. Spurs are awarded the goal, so Spurs would be the winner in the 'Last team to score' market. Normal 90 minutes betting rules apply.
Man Of The Match
The market will be settled as follows:
• We will settle in accordance with the man of the match announced in commentary during the live broadcasting of the match.
• If there is no announcement during the match, we will settle in accordance with the man of the match award presented during the live broadcasting of the match.
• If there is no presentation during the broadcast, we will settle in accordance with the player quoted as man of the match on the broadcasting channel’s official website. For example, if the match was shown on Sky Sports, the official website would be www.skysports.com.
• If the broadcaster's official website does not quote a player as being man of the match, we will settle on the player quoted as man of the match on the website of the governing body for that competition. For example, the FA would be the governing body in relation to matches in the FA Cup.
In the event that the match is shown live on two channels we will settle in the following way:
• We will settle on the player quoted as man of the match on the website of the governing body for that competition. For example, UEFA would be the governing body in relation to matches in the Champions League.
If we are still unable to settle the market via the methods described above, then all bets on the Man of the Match market will be void.
Bets placed on players that take any part in the match will stand. A bet on a player that does not take any part in the match will be void.
We will also be able to offer a price, upon request, on any player not quoted in the market. Any unquoted player will be deemed the winner should they receive the man of the match award.
Mythical Matches
In our 'mythical match' markets, customers are betting on which of two selected teams will score more goals in their respective games that weekend.
For example - a mythical match might be England Vs Argentina, when England are actually playing Scotland, and Argentina are actually playing Brazil. If England beat Scotland 2-0 and Brazil and Argentina draw 1-1, then the Mythical match score is 2-1 to England.
If both teams score the same number of goals, then the 'draw' option is the winner.

• Next Set Piece
• What's Next?
• Rapid Goal
Bet on whether there will be a goal in the next 60 seconds of a Free Kick, Corner or Penalty being taken.
The betting window for a Rapid Goal market will typically be activated shortly after the whistle is blown for a Free Kick in an attacking area, Corner or Penalty, and close a few seconds before the Free Kick, Corner or Penalty is actually taken.
As soon as the Free Kick, Corner or Penalty is taken, an on-screen countdown bar will start counting down from 60, representing the 60 seconds in which a goal must be scored to be considered a "Rapid Goal" and subsequently resulted as a successful bet.
In the event that the referee blows the whistle for a penalty kick during the 60-second Rapid Goal in-play period, the penalty kick will be deemed to have occurred within the 60-second in-play period, regardless of when it is actually performed.
• For example, if (i) the referee blows the whistle for a penalty kick in the 59th second following a Free Kick and Corner (ii) the penalty kick is successful, then, regardless of when the penalty kick was actually performed, the goal will be deemed to have been scored within the 60-second in-play period for purposes of resulting the Rapid Goal bet.
• For result purposes, a goal will be deemed to have been scored the moment the ball completely crosses the goal-line within the confines of the goal posts, provided that the referee ultimately awards the goal. (E.g., if the ball passes the goal-line within the confines of the goal posts within the 60-second Rapid Goal in-play period, but the goal is not awarded because, for example, a foul occurred before the shot, then a goal will not be deemed to have been scored.)
Rapid Fire Market Dynamics
Rapid Fire markets are made available to customers at various intervals in selected matches. The outcome is specific to the stated time during the match as displayed in the market header.
Betting Window; when the market is activated a 40 second countdown timer appears highlighted in green, this is the bet placement period. The countdown timer will change to red to highlight the last 10 seconds of the betting opportunity.
˜'Cooling Off'' Period; following the 40 second betting window the countdown timer will turn green stating a period of ˜no more bets'. The market will display this status for 10 seconds.
In Progress; an "In Progress" message will appear highlighted in blue, following the ˜'Cooling Off'' period, informing that all accepted bets are now active.
Result; once the result is known, the winning selection will be highlighted within the market, this denotes that bets have now been settled. Rapid Fire market will remain suspended until the next time stamped market is activated.
For both Rapid Fire markets, any of the wagering options may be suspended at any point during the 40 second betting window if the trader deems it necessary.
The following rules apply to this market:
Football bets will be settled on the basis of results determined by the Press Association's (PA) initial decision. If the PA do not cover a match, settlement will be based on the results as determined by the relevant football association.
Related Contingencies in one Match
Where we offer various betting opportunities from the same match (e.g. Correct Score, First Player to Score etc) these cannot be combined in accumulative bets where the outcome is related (except where special fixed prices are available for Scorecasts).
Where an accumulative bet of this type as been accepted in error we reserve the right to void this bet.
Result After XX Minutes
Betting on who is winning a match at specified times throughout the match.
Markets are settled on the score at 14:59 for the 15 minute market; 29:59 for the 30 minute market; 59:59 for the 60 minute market and 74:59 for the 75 minute market.
Results
In the case of Football and other Sports, bets are settled on the first result published by the official source/governing body or alternatively the official website of the relevant event, immediately after the match/event is finished.
In the absence of any consistent, independent evidence or in the presence of significant conflicting evidence, bets will be settled based on our own statistics.
Scorecasts (First Player to Score and Correct Score)
To win you must successfully forecast both the player who will score the first goal in a selected match and also the correct score after 90 minutes play.
Scorecasts are available on all matches where Correct Score and First Player to Score odds are quoted on this website.
The Scorecast 0-0 and no goalscorer is settled as a correct score single.
If your selected player joins the match after the first goal has been scored or does not take part in the game, Scorecast bets will revert to a single on the Correct Score.
For First Goalscorer purposes, own goals do not count, so in this circumstance, the Scorecast will be settled on the next goalscorer and Correct Score of the game. If the correct score is 1-0 and the goal is an own goal, Scorecast bets are settled as a correct score single.
If a match is abandoned prior to the completion of 90 minutes and a goal has been scored, Scorecast bets are settled as First Goalscorer singles. If no goal has been scored, all bets are void.
Season Handicap Betting
Season Handicap bets are settled by adding (or subtracting) the handicap start value to the final points total of all selections in the market at the end of the season. In the event of a tie, dead heat rules apply.
Season Match Betting
Season match bets are settled on which of two teams will place highest in the league at the end of the season. If teams finish level on points then the tie breaker used by the league (e.g. goal difference or head-to-head records) will decide the winner.
Team to Lead at Anytime
Bets are settled when a team takes the lead in a match. Own Goals DO count for this market e.g. Chelsea are playing Spurs and Chelsea take the lead through an own goal by a Spurs player. Chelsea are awarded the goal, so the 'Chelsea' selection becomes a winner in the 'Team to Lead at Anytime' market. Both teams can be settled as winners in this market e.g. if Chelsea go 1-0 up and then Spurs go 2-1 ahead, both teams have lead in the match and therefore both selections are winners. Normal 90 minutes betting rules apply.
If a match is abandoned after it has commenced, all bets on this market will be made void except where settlement has already been determined. For example, if either or both teams have led at the point the match is abandoned then "Yes" will be settled as the winner for the relevant selection(s).
Team to Score First and Last
If the game ends in a goalless draw, all bets on this market are void. Extra time does not count for the purposes of this market.
The Total Result
A prediction on the result at the end of normal time and either over or under the stated goal line.
The match must reach a natural conclusion for bets to stand. If the match is abandoned after it has commenced, all bets will be void irrespective of the score at the point of abandonment.
Time of Acceptance of Football Bets
Bets will be accepted up to the official kick off time. In some matches we also offer bet in play prices on the result at 90 minutes. Bets are accepted up to the 90th minute including any injury time.
Time of First Goal
For settlement purposes the 1st minute of the game is from 1 second to 59 seconds. The 2nd minute is from 1 minute to 1 minute 59 seconds and so on. For example, if a bet is placed on the first goal to be scored between 1 and 10 minutes and a goal is scored at 10 minutes 49 seconds, the bet is a loser as this falls within the 11 to 20 minutes time frame.
If a goal is scored in injury time of the first half, the winning selection will be the 41-50mins bracket. If a goal is scored in injury time of the second half. the winning selection would be the 81-90mins bracket.
If the match is abandoned after the first goal has been scored then all bets will stand. If no goal has been scored all bets will be void.
Time of Next Home/Away Goal
In games played at a neutral venue, the home side will be deemed to be the first named one. For example, if an event is called 'Holland vs Spain', then Holland would be the 'home' team as they are named first and Spain would be the 'away' team.
If a goal is scored in injury time of the first half, the winning selection will be the 41-50mins bracket. If a goal is scored in injury time of the second half. the winning selection would be the 81-90mins bracket.
Time of Next Match Goal
If a goal is scored in injury time of the first half, the winning selection will be the 41-50mins bracket. If a goal is scored in injury time of the second half, the winning selection would be the 81-90mins bracket.
Timing of Corners and Penalty Kicks
For settlement purposes, the timing of any corners and penalty kicks will be based upon the time the kick was taken and not the time at which it was awarded.
To Play For...
To Play for a Specified National Team
Must gain a full International cap for nominated team (as in actually play minutes, not just be named to the squad). Friendlies count.
To Play for a Specified Professional Domestic Team
Must make an appearance (as in actually play minutes, not just be named to the squad) in a competitive official league match for a team in any of the following divisions: English Premier League, English Championship, English League 1, English League 2, Scottish Premier League. Friendlies do not count. Appearances for the aforementioned English league clubs in English cups (FA Cup, League Cup and Johnston's Paint Trophy) count.
For women, only league match appearances for clubs in the following competitions count: WSL, WSL2 (England) and SWPL (Scotland).
To Play Professionally
Must make an appearance (as in actually play minutes, not just be named in the squad) in a competitive official league match for a team in any of the following divisions: English Premier League, English Championship, English League 1, English League 2, Scottish Premier League.
League matches in the highest tier league from the following countries will also count: Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal.
To Win Both Halves
The 90 minute match is treated as two separate 45 minute 'mini-matches' and therefore your selection must score more goals than the other team in each of the two halves.
For example, if your selection scores in the first half of a match and the match finishes 1-0, although the first half was won 1-0 , the score in the second 45 minutes was effectively 0-0 and therefore a draw. If this occurs, only the first half is considered to have been 'won' and therefore bets would be losers.
Top Class Trebles/Top Man Trebles
If one or more of the selections are non-runners (e.g a match is postponed or a player does not take part) then bets will be settled based on the individual prices for the remaining selections.
All bets are settled using the result at the end of normal time - i.e. extra-time does not count.
This bet cannot be combined with any other bets on the same match. Should this bet be accepted in error, it will be settled by equally dividing the stake unit where the related outcomes clash.
Top League/Tournament/Team Goalscorer
Bets placed on a player to be the top scorer in a given league are based on regular season games only. Any goals scored in subsequent play-off games do not count for betting purposes. Once a player is named in the squad and has the opportunity to play in the league that season, bets will stand.
Bets placed on a player to be the top scorer in a given tournament, or to be Top Team Goalscorer in a given tournament, will stand as long as the player is named in the squad and has the opportunity to play in the named tournament. If more than one player finishes on the same number of goals, then dead heat rules apply (any tournament top scorer award, for example "Golden Boot" is ignored for settlement purposes). Goals scored in Extra-Time will count, but goals scored within Penalty Shootouts will not count.
Top Goalscorer and Team To Win
Where there is a special price for a tournament Top Goalscorer and Team To Win, any dead heat occurring in the Top Tournament Goalscorer part of the bet will be applied to the whole special bet. For example, if Mario Gomez to be Top Scorer and Germany To Win the Tournament is 12/1, and Mario Gomez ties for Top Scorer with another player, the ½ dead heat for Mario Gomez would be applied directly to the full stake of the whole special bet before subsequent settlement at 12/1.
Top X Team (Tournament)
Top Team bets will be settled on the stage of elimination. Dead Heat rules apply. For example, in the World Cup, if all market selections go out in the group stage, they will all be settled as winners with dead heat rules irrespective of points scored in the group stage. For the World Cup Semi-Finals, settlement will be based on the result of the third/fourth place play-off match.
Total Goals Odd or Even
Bets are settled on whether the total number of goals scored within 90 minutes, will be an odd or an even number. Extra-time and penalties do not count. If the total number of goals in a game is zero (i.e. the final score is 0 - 0) then "Even" is considered the winning selection.
This bet cannot be combined with any other bets on the same match. Should this bet be accepted in error, it will be settled by equally dividing the stake unit where the related outcomes clash.
Total League Goals (Under/Over)
In the bet, customers are asked to predict whether the total number of goals scored in that league on a particular date will be over or under a certain number. Only games played on the named date will count. In the event of a postponed match, all bets will be void and a revised market will be created.
Total Shots in Game
Blocked shots do not count for the purposes of this market. The result returned by OPTA will be used for settlement of this market. OPTA Sports Data supply official results to a wide range of media outlets, both in print and online.
Total Throw-ins in Match
The result returned by OPTA will be used for settlement of this market. OPTA Sports Data supply official results to a wide range of media outlets, both in print and online.
Trialists
Trialists do not count for First (or Last) Player to Score bets.
What will happen to a player first?
Bet on what will happen first to a nominated player during the course of a game, e.g. substituted, sent off etc.
"Set up a goal" or "Goal assist" is defined as the last player from the scoring team to touch the ball before the goalscorer. It must be from open play - corners and free-kicks do not count. Players brought down for penalties are not credited with an assist. Own goals cannot be assisted - e.g. if a player crosses the ball in and it is headed in by an opponent, no assist is credited.
If a player does not start the game, then bets are void.
Wincast
To win you must successfully forecast a player to score anytime during 90 minutes and also the result of the match after 90 minutes.
Bets stand as long as your selected player plays some part in the match. If your selected player does not take any part in the match, Wincast bets will be settled as void.
If a match is abandoned prior to the completion of 90 minutes, Wincast bets are settled as Anytime Goalscorer singles as long as the player played some part in the match and therefore had an opportunity to score.
Yes/No
This bet involves predicting the outcome of 6 set Yes/No scenarios. The odds are 33/1 if all 6 scenarios are predicted correctly.
If a scenario result is not declared or is unobtainable, that selection will be excluded and the price for the bet will be reduced to 16/1 for the remaining 5 scenarios.
If 2 scenario results are not declared or are unobtainable, those selections will be excluded and the price for the bet will be reduced to 10/1 for the remaining 4 scenarios.
If 3 scenario results are not declared or are unobtainable, then the Yes/No bet will be void.
In the market "Will (team) make the last substitution?", where multiple substitutions are made within the same break of play, the market will be settled on whichever team's player physically comes onto the pitch last.

Money Line (Match betting)
Where odds for both Outright and Handicap betting are available, all bets are settled on the outright price, unless the handicap or qualifying price has been specifically selected. At least 55 minutes of play must take place for bets on that match to stand. If 55 minutes of play do not take place at the time the match is completed, all bets on that match will be void, unless an official result is 'called by the American Football governing body'. Overtime counts except for bets on Double Result. Where a match ends in a tie after overtime, bets on Money Line will be void.
Point Spread (Handicap Betting)
The result used for settling is the Money Line, adjusted for the Point Spread (handicap) line available at the time of bet placement. For example - Miami +3 @ Green Bay -3. Result Miami 21 Green Bay 25, Green Bay wins on the point spread.
In the event of the scores being level following the point spread being applied, the bet results in a "Push" and stakes are refunded. Push rule does not apply to markets with a point spread tie available.
Abandoned Matches
If a match is abandoned before the end of a game (including during overtime) all bets will be void if not played to a completion within 72 hours, unless 55 minutes of play has taken place or an official result is 'called by the American Football governing body'. All other markets will be void except for those which have been unconditionally determined (for example First Touchdown Scorer bets will stand if a touchdown has been scored).
Current / Next Drive Market
Results are settled on the outcome of the respective offensive drive in progress. Only offensive statistics count. Kick off returns and punt returns for touchdowns do not count as a drive. Only interceptions or fumbles constitute a turnover. Turnovers that are returned by the defense for a touchdown will be settled as a turnover. In the event of a safety, turnover on downs or time expiring, all bets are void for that market. All markets are settled on official stats from nfl.com.
Division/Conference Winner
NFL Division Winner markets will be settled on who finishes top of the relevant division after the conclusion of the Regular Season. If 2 or more teams have the same Regular Season win record then ties will be broken using the NFLs official rules. All Regular Season games involving teams from that Division must be played for bets to stand unless a result is already known, otherwise bets on the market will be deemed void.
NCAA division winners will be settled as the team that represents that division in the conference final game. If there isn't a conference final for a particular conference, then that conference's division winners will be settled on regular season record, and any ties will be broken by the NCAA tie-breaking procedures. All Regular Season games involving teams from that Division must be played for bets to stand unless a result is already known, otherwise bets on the market will be deemed void.
NCAA conference winners will be settled as the winners of the conference championship game. If there isn't a conference final for a particular conference, then the conference winner will be settled on regular season record, and any ties will be broken by the NCAA tie-breaking procedures.
Double Result
This is based on predicting the result at half time and the result at the end of regulation time. This market excludes overtime.
1st Offensive Play
In the event of an accepted penalty on the 1st offensive play, bets stand for the next offensive play that takes place without an accepted penalty.
1st Offensive Play Yard Line
The result is determined by where the first offensive play from scrimmage takes place. In the event of the kick off being returned for a touchdown bets stand for the following kick off. In the event of a turnover the result is determined on where the 1st offensive play takes place from with respect to the receiving team’s yard line.
1st Penalty
This is settled on the 1st penalty called, regardless of a team accepting or declining the penalty. If there are offsetting penalties this market will be settled on the next penalty called.
1st Turnover and 1st Team to Commit a Turnover
For results purposes, only an interception or a fumble counts. A punt or turnover on downs does not qualify as a turnover for settlement purposes. In the event of an abandoned game stakes are returned unless a turnover has already taken place.
Grand Salami
The 'Grand Salami' will be decided by adding up all the scores by the games scheduled for that particular day. All games must be completed for bets to stand, points scored in overtime are included. For betting in running purposes the above rules apply unless stated otherwise. When scores are displayed in running, every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the score and game time, however no liability is accepted for incorrect information displayed.
In Running
Prices quoted are for the whole game inclusive of any overtime played. As the markets are in running we reserve the right to close the market at any time.

To Win Every Quarter / To Win Both Halves
A team must win each individual quarter / half for bets to have action. In the event of a tie in any quarter or half bets are losers. Overtime does not apply to this market. Games must be completed for action.
Mythical Matches
Matches involve two teams playing in those relevant weeks NFL fixtures. Results are dependent on team’s individual scores in their respective fixtures against that of the mythical weekends opponent. The official governing body determines scores, in the event of a game not fully completed bets are void for that respective mythical match. All scores include any overtime played, singles only.
NFL Draft
All bets on NFL Draft markets will be settled on the official draft order listed on NFL.com. For the purposes of over/under markets, undrafted players will be assigned a number one above that of the last draft pick.
Mr Irrelevant is the term given to the last player selected in the draft. The term 'specialist' refers to kickers, punters and long snappers only, and does not include kickoff or punt returners.
The 'Last Player Left in the Green Room' market will be settled based on the last player drafted, from those who were invited to attend the draft in the Green Room, and is not based on the last person to physically leave the room.
Player Positions
Pre-Draft players are assigned to one playing position by Betdaq based on their probable playing position. The position that players are listed as on NFL.com and the position that they played in College are irrelevant, as these can often change and final positions are not decided until a player reaches their destination team. Once a position assignment has been made by Betdaq it is final. Others may be added to the market upon request, as long as they are not already assigned to another position.
NFL Head Coach Markets
For settlement purposes the Super Bowl will be used to mark the end of the season for all head coach markets. Any coach fired before the Super Bowl will be deemed to have been fired during the season, even if his team's season has ended.
Should a head coach resign, retire, or be traded to another team, we will consider him fired for settlement purposes.
Postponed Matches
If a match is postponed and rescheduled to take place within 72 hours of the original start time, your bet on that match will stand. If the match does not take place within 72 hours your bet will be void.
In the event of Venue changes, the event will be void irrespective of the 72 hour rule.
Proposition Bets
In the event of an abandoned game all stakes are returned, unless a result is already determined through the course of play that has taken place. Player prop markets involving Quarterbacks require that the player(s) in question must be the starter(s) for bets to have action. For all other player prop markets the player(s) in question must be listed as active by nfl.com/cfl.ca, for bets to have action. All proposition bets are singles only. Players listed as inactive are void. For NCAA games players must record a stat as per espn.go.com for bets to have action, if players do not record a stat then bets are void.
Quarter and Half Markets
For bets placed on the specific quarters or halves the entire period of play must be played unless the result is already determined. 2nd half markets and 4th quarter markets do not include overtime.
Rapid Fire NFL Rules

Bets placed during the game that are unresolved by the end of the game will be cancelled and refunded in full.
Bets placed in connection with any play that is erased (i.e., as a result of a challenge or an accepted penalty) will not be resulted and will remain active.
Rapid Fire Team Markets
Next Touchdown: This market allows you to bet on which team will score the game's next touchdown (offensive, defensive and special team touchdowns all qualify).
Next Field Goal: This market allows you to bet on which team will score the game's next field goal. (A field goal attempted and missed does not qualify.)
Next Turnover: This market allows you to bet on which team will commit the game's next turnover (i.e., interception, lost fumble, missed field goal or turnover on downs). For purposes of this wager, a safety will not be deemed a turnover. In the event of a safety, all "Next Turnover" wagers will remain active.
Next Sack: This market allows you to bet on which team will be credited with the game's next sack. A team is credited for a sack when the quarterback on the opposing team makes an apparent attempt to pass before he (i) is tackled, (ii) steps out of bounds, or (iii) fumbles (regardless of which team recovers), behind or at the line of scrimmage. In the event of any ambiguity, official NFL stats will control.
Next Penalty: This market allows you to bet on which team will commit the game's next accepted penalty (i.e., penalties that are declined will not count). Note: if both teams commit penalties on the same play, neither will be deemed to have committed the penalty first and all live "Next Penalty" wagers will remain active.
Rapid Fire Markets
Rapid Fire - Drive Outcome
This market allows you to bet on which of four possible drive outcomes will occur: (1) Punt; (2) made Field Goal; (3) Offensive touchdown; or (4) Other.
Notes: For Rapid Fire - Drive Outcome bet settlement purposes, the following rules will apply:
Any turnover will be scored as "Other."
Safeties will be scored as "Other."
A blocked punt will be scored as a Punt;
An unsuccessful fake punt or a failed punt attempt (such as ball snapped over punter's head or punter dropping the ball) will be scored as "Other" unless the punting team manages to convert a first down, in which case the drive continues and all Drive Outcome bets will remain active;
If the clock runs out (either for the first half or end of game) before the drive is complete, all Drive Outcome bets will be refunded.
Rapid Fire - Failure
This market allows you to bet on which of four game events will occur next: (1) Offensive flag; (2) Defensive Flag; (3) Sack or (4) Time Out.
Notes: For Rapid Fire - Failure bet settlement purposes, the following rules will apply:
An offensive flag is considered a penalty on the team with possession of the ball.
A defensive flag is considered a penalty on the team without possession of the ball.
On a kick off, the team kicking off is deemed to be in possession of the ball until a player on the receiving team touches the ball, at which point the receiving team will be considered to be in possession of the ball.
Following a fumble or an interception, the team to recover the fumble or make the interception will be deemed to have possession of the ball at the moment of the fumble recovery or interception.
A penalty must be accepted to qualify as an offensive or defensive flag.
Offsetting penalties will not count as either an offensive or defensive flag.
A sack occurs when a quarterback makes an apparent attempt to pass before he (i) is tackled, (ii) steps out of bounds, or (iii) fumbles (regardless of which team recovers), behind or at the line of scrimmage. In the event of any ambiguity, official NFL stats will control.
A Time Out will be deemed to have occurred when a time out is charged to a team in accordance with the NFL's official stats. For example, a lost challenge will be considered a time out, but a stoppage of time for injury will not.
Rapid Play Props
Next Play Run or Pass Attempt
This market allows you to bet on whether the next play will have a run or pass attempt.
Notes: For Play Run or Pass Attempt wager-scoring purposes, the following rules will apply:
If a pass is attempted, whether complete, incomplete, or an interception, the play will be graded as a Pass Attempt. In the case of any ambiguity, official NFL stats will control.
If a run is attempted, whether for a gain, loss, or no yardage, the play will be graded as a Run Attempt. In the case of any ambiguity, official NFL stats will control.
In the event of a sack, the play will not be graded as a Run or a Pass Attempt, and all Next Play Run or Pass Attempt wagers will remain active. A sack occurs when a quarterback makes an apparent attempt to pass before he (i) is tackled, (ii) steps out of bounds, or (iii) fumbles (regardless of which team recovers), behind or at the line of scrimmage. In the event of any ambiguity, official NFL stats will control.
First Down Made
This market allows you to bet on whether the team currently on offense will gain a first down.
Notes: For First Down Made bet settlement purposes, the following rules will apply:
A Touchdown will be considered a first down.
A made Field Goal will not be considered a first down.
All punts will be deemed to mean that the punting team did not gain a first down (even if the punting team forces a turnover on the punt return). Fake or botched punt attempts that result in a first down, however, will be scored as a gained first down.
If the offense gains the amount of yards needed for a first down but, on the same play, fumbles the ball and the ball is recovered by the opposing team, the play will not be considered a first down.
The First Down Made bet stands for an entire drive not just the next play. Accordingly, if a First Down Made bet is placed on third down and the offensive team fails to convert on third down but successfully converts on fourth down, all bets on a made first down will be graded as winners.
Next Score
This market allows you to bet on which type of scoring event will occur next in the game, a Touchdown or a Field Goal. Field goals attempted but missed do not qualify.
Points on This Drive
This market allows you to bet on whether the offensive team will score points on the current drive (i.e., a defensive touchdown or safety would not qualify).
Field Goal Made or Missed
This market allows you to bet on whether an upcoming field goal attempt will be successful. A successful field goal attempt is defined as an attempt that directly results in 3 points awarded to the field goal kicking team. Note: The field goal must be attempted for the wager to be scored. Accordingly, in the event of a fake field goal, botched snap, or any other event that results in no actual field goal kick being attempted, all Field Goal Made or Missed bets will be cancelled and refunded in full.

This market allows you to bet on whether the game's next completed pass will gain more or less than 7.5 yards.
Notes: For Next Pass +/- 7.5 yards wager-scoring purposes, the following rules will apply:
An interception will be deemed an incomplete pass.
All Next Pass +/- 7.5 yards wagers will remain pending until either team has completed a pass.
Next Run +/- 3.5 yards
This market allows you to bet on whether the game's next run attempt will gain more or less than 3.5 yards. Note: For purposes of this market, a sack (as defined above) will not be considered a run attempt.
